Title: Surveillance and Compliance Manager
Location: Saudi Arabia
Support and manage assurance activities related to Maintenance & Continuing Airworthiness Organisations (Part M, 145 & 147) and Maintenance & Continuing Airworthiness products and services within the Business.

Responsible to the Head of M&CA Surveillance and Compliance for coordinating and managing an integrated risk and safety based audit programme, facilitation of reviews, assuring compliance to regulatory and Company governance requirements.
Provide coordination and delivery of M&CA Continuing Airworthiness Assurance activities. Ensuring compliance and consistency across the projects, and monitoring the effectiveness, reviewing reporting for any impact on continuing airworthiness.
Support and manage the M&CA approval and surveillance activities of BAE Systems Saudi Arabia maintenance, maintenance training and continuing airworthiness organisations to assure the business these Organisations comply with the mandated standards of the M&CA Framework and other requirements, e.g. ITAR
Manage and conduct M&CA approval audits as required.
Manage and conduct annual surveillance audits as required.
Support the Head of M&CA Surveillance and Compliance in ensuring that the activities undertaken by the Directorate comply with the Directorate procedures and other business requirements.
Maintain the Maintenance and Continuing Airworthiness Directorate processes and procedures for KSA as required.
Review M&CA approval audit recommendations.
Support other M&CA activities as directed by the Head of M&CA Surveillance and Compliance
Support M&CA related elements of the BAESSA Supplier Approval process as required.
Review One-off Variation requests submitted by the Projects and provide recommendations when required.
Review Expositions/Exposition updates submitted by the Projects as required.
Develop Saudi Nationals with focus on aircraft maintenance regulation development and implementation.
Leadership qualities and fortitude, with ability to communicate at all organisational levels, varying methodologies in an appropriate and clear manner
Knowledge of the approved Part M, 145 and 147 organisations, expositions and associated regulations.
Understanding of Royal Saudi Air Forces in particular the RSAF organisational structure and regulatory frameworks
Knowledge of BAE Systems business in KSA, Airworthiness and certification regulations
Knowledge of platform and systems maintenance management activities.
Ability to establish dependable relationships with the Customer and partners and Promote a culture of continuous development and improvement
Ability to manage and deploy Maintenance and Continuing Airworthiness skill sets.
Understanding of EASA Part 145 and Part M or UK MOD MAOS regulations
Qualified to Engineering Degree level or equivalent aircraft design and/or certification engineering qualification in a related field.
Experience in continuing airworthiness and maintenance of aircraft and aircraft systems; with additional education, experience and knowledge of aircraft regulatory policies
Preferable to have current working experience of the Royal Saudi Air Forces.
Strong technical and interpersonal skills, ability to facilitate, mediate and influence in diverse military and civilian cultures
A good knowledge of aviation maintenance processes and quality systems and previous experience of delivering a Customer support contract
Continuing Airworthiness Management System knowledge, specifically relating to Quality Assurance auditing
Able to demonstrate a good understanding and application of human factors, error management and proactive hazard analysis appropriate to the role.
Computer literacy is essential: excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project required.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, 19011 and 9110 Standards and must have audit experience and be an accredited Lead Auditor.
